The prestigious Marina of the Year awards were presented on Wednesday, December 5th at the annual The Docks Expo in Nashville, Tennessee. Westpoint Harbor was named Large Marina of the Year in a tough competition that saw entries from all across North America.
Marina Dock Age, who sponsors the award annually, sets the bar very high and performs detailed investigations into the applicant marinas. They are particularly looking for marinas that excel in terms of their business practices that support customers, the marina’s custodianship of the environment, and marinas that promote the boating industry.
After receiving the award from Editor-in-Chief Anna Townsend, Mark added, “This award is really recognition for our whole harbor community, from the marvelous team of harbormasters to our dedicated maintenance and landscaping crews. It is also for the members of the harbor who make the marina a special place to be and also to our partners and vendors who consistently deliver excellent products and services. This is truly a team effort and we are all proud of what we have achieved.”
Pike’s Bay Marina in Bayfield, Wisconsin, won Small Marina of the Year.
